The original of the book, a set of four volumes bound in traditional Chinese style, was a collotype edition compiled by Huang Baichuan in the early Republic (1935), and was an actual size pictorial of the material objects printed with clear and sharp images by collotype printing methods. The pieces, with fine rubbings appended, are all museum grade treasures, and make an important reference catalogue for the collectors of ancient Chinese jades. The present edition is an offset printing reproduction, also in their actual sizes.
