Liangzhu Jade

The Liangzhu jade, a highly appraised treasure of Chinese civilization, is of great importance in the study of the ancient Chinese archaeologists, through scientific method and excavations, have successfully discovered large amounts of Liangzhu jade at the cultural sites in Caoxieshan, Zhanglingshan, and Sidun of jiangsu Province, and Fuquanshan in Shanghai, and at the graveyards in Fanshan and Yaoshan of Zhejiang Province. It is amazing to compare their category, typeform, decoration and jade carving techniques with those previously excavated. As a result, Lingzhu jade has earned more and more attention in China and abroad.

The book, fully illustrated in colour with detailed descriptions of 239 entries of wrought jade objects, is hitherto the most complete, systematic Liangzhu jade catalogue. Most of the exhibits are recently excavated and therefore unpublished pieces. An introduction o the discovery and study of the Liangzhu jade by Mou Yongkang is also included.
