This is an exhibition catalogue commemorating the thirtieth anniversary of the founding of the Min Chiu Society. The exhibition was jointly presented by the Society and the Urban Council of Hong Kong to promote the general interest in the study of Chinese art and
to foster connoisseurship in Chinese antiquities.  A total of 268 items were selected form the collections of the members of the Society, of which there are 75 paintings and
calligraphy section is subdivided into two parts, pre 20th century (48 pieces) and 20th century (27 pieces), whereas the ceramics section ranges from the Neolithic period to the Qing dynasty. The object in other media include bronze, jade, carvings in bamboo, wood, rhino horn and ivory, furniture and other handicrafts.
